Some thoughts on the ANC

The ANC was founded on 8 Jan 1912 in Bloemfontein (time unknown). Therefore the chart I am using is the sunrise chart of that day using Sun on 1st.

The most powerful planet in this chart is Jupiter. The principles on which this organisation was founded are justice and respect for the rule of law. In addition knowledge and education and spiritual and religious freedom are highly valued in this organisation. Professions like teaching and law are highly regarded (Jupiter in Sagittarius).

The Leader of this organisation wants power and authority (Sun in Capricorn) . The leadership are idealistic and perhaps delusional (Sun opposed to Neptune). The challenge will be keeping unity in the organisation (Neptune on 7th). The alliance – ANC, SACP and Cosatu – how does this work? Leadership idealistic and perhaps naïve about unity in organisation.

The leadership is fighting for the rights of the children in society. Education, sport and land are key issues (Mars ruler of 4th in 5th in detriment, Sun trine Mars).

Women are a key component of the ANC organisation. They are close to the Leadership of the ANC and keen to promote the advancement of issues around women and children (Sun trine Moon). – Women champion the rights of children and education and the justice system (Moon square Venus/Jupiter and Moon trine Saturn).

This organisation will have issues with the law (Mercury in detriment in 12th ruling the 9th) and be forced into hiding (prison) and banned. The ANC will find it difficult to communicate. This is an anxious organisation steeped in secrets and fearful of the police and military. (Mercury opposed to Pluto).

The ANC will be slow to act. This is a stubborn organisation (Mars in detriment). Education and land reform will pose challenges for this organisation
