The power of the moment – Rugby World Cup 2023 Paris

This past eclipse is a wonderful demonstration of the power of particular moments and this concept of destiny. The Springboks played the All Blacks in the final of the Rugby World Cup 2023 in Paris, France on 28 October the night of the partial lunar eclipse.

When looking at the SA chart for 27 April 1994 against this eclipse there is a powerful angular connection – MC/IC. This clearly demonstrates that SA will achieve prominence with sporting success.

It is interesting to look at the New Zealand chart and this lunar eclipse and there is certainly not the same indication of prominence and success.

Astrologers can draw charts for sporting contests of big knock out games in tournaments and there is a particular way to analyse these charts. But one of the issues is that you need to easily be able to identity the favourites from the underdogs. This was particularly difficult when comparing the Springboks to the All Blacks as there was nothing between the two teams. Closer to the time it looked like All Blacks were slight favourites to win even though Springboks were World Number 1 ranked team and current World Cup Champions. History would be made. Whoever won this title would be the first team to win 4 World Cup Rugby titles. The Springboks (2019 World Cup Champions) had a chance to defend their title like the All Blacks did in 2011 and 2015.

This was a tricky chart to analyse but did indicate the favourites would be damaged in some way (Mercury ruler of favourite combust).

Moon trine antiscion POF – supports favourites.

Antiscion Moon in 4th – supports underdogs.

It was the Moon’s aspects that really intrigued me.

Moon opposed Sun – 0 degrees 46’. (underdogs take early lead)

Moon opposed Mercury – 6 degrees 17’ (favourites)

Moon conjunct Jupiter – 6 degrees 55’ (underdogs)

A conjunction is always an indication that this is the final result. The only issue is that usually we move the Moon 5 degrees for a rugby or football match (80/90 minutes). This was beyond that range. Did this mean there was a draw at full time and then both teams had to play extra time to get a result? I was unsure.

But it is interesting to see this flow of time knowing the outcome of the match. Springboks started well (Moon opposed Sun ruler of 4th underdog). Then All Blacks came back with Moon opposed Mercury (ruler of favourite). And finally Springboks won with Moon conjunct Jupiter (ruler of underdog).

For me there were too many uncertainties with this match chart – mostly determining the favourites.

It was much clearer looking at the eclipse chart against the country chart for SA and NZ. South Africa looked like the more obvious winner basking in sporting success and glory.
