Jupiter Uranus conjunction 21 April 2024 – a personal experience

World War 2 was fought between 1939 and 1945. The Jupiter Uranus conjunction was exact in Taurus on 8 May 1941. Two days later, the German Luftwaffe mounted what would become the last major bombing raid on London. It would be one of the most devastating. 1400 people died and 700 acres were set on fire including damage to the Houses of Parliament.

This conjunction was exact again in Taurus on 21 April 2024. It is a time of profound change and instability. In Taurus we can expect financial and agricultural disruption. Uranus is associated with unpredictable events including weather/earth events like volcanoes and extreme weather. It is interesting that we have experienced fires in Table Mountain which started with lighting strikes which is very unusual for Cape Town as this time of year. Jupiter always magnifies what it touches and we ended up with 5 fires in Table Mountain – 4 started by lighting and one from human error.

I experienced a wild fall on this day. I was supporting my husband at the start of the Ironman 70.3 and I had my dog with me attached to my waist on his harness. He was desperate to get to the sea, but the race hadn’t even started and there was a cold wind blowing. I wanted to take him away from the start so that he could run free. A magic song played on the sound system, and I turned around and decided to capture this moment on video. Next thing I ‘woke’ with my cheek in the sand. Tau had jumped and taken me with him. The sand was 2m below. I have no idea what happened, but I felt like I was a ragdoll picked up by my legs and slapped into the sand – this violent and yet benevolent force. Uranus the violent force and Jupiter the benevolent force. A leap of faith that I would never have undertaken on my own! I was so lucky not to break anything or hit my head on the rocks nearby. It was like something held me and kept me safe.

Taurus 2024 year ahead

A big focus in your chart for the year ahead is your own physical and emotional needs and your commitments to your relationship. There is a certain amount of tension. It is a good time to assess what you want personally in your relationship? Do you remain committed to your relationship? Your relationship will require your energy if you remain committed. If not, you may need to embark on a legal process to end your relationship. The issues are connected to your joint financial resources. Where do you stand financially? There seems to be some conflict when it comes to joint resources. If you remain committed to your relationship, you need to have a conversation about resources. Are you on the same page financially? Do you share the same value system when it comes to money? What is important to you when you think about relationships and resources? Perhaps there is conflict about your desire to travel and seek adventure and the financial costs of these adventures. It certainly does look like a good time to travel. It also looks like a good time to study and or grow spiritually. All these things come with a price tag, and you will need to negotiate what you want and the value thereof.

It looks like you need to make significant changes day to day and or at work. Your health and well-being may be compromised. It is certainly important to have these conversations with your partner if you want to change your work role. You will need to understand the joint financial implications.

Total solar eclipse 8 April 2024 – Sun/Moon 19 Aries

The focus of this eclipse is work and well-being. You are working very hard and certainly making a difference to others and getting the recognition you deserve. Work seems to be all consuming. The aspect of your life that is tricky is your relationship and or your children. Do you have time for these aspects of your life? Would your partner like to fall pregnant? Is this creating conflict in your relationship? It certainly looks like your relationship needs some attention – change is necessary. You may be surprised by the outcome. It could be disruptive. Do you meet someone else? Do you need freedom at this time? What about sport and or creativity? Time to schedule in some fun with the people you love. All work and no play is no good at all!

This eclipse is part of Saros Series 8 North. Bernadette Brady indicates that this series is associated with flashes of genius, intuitive leaps, great insights, visions and inspiration. This will pull a person away from their relationship and or social circle as they need to be free and independent to take advantage of this inspirational period.

William Lily in 1652 described eclipses in the middle degrees of Aries as being destructive for fruit bearing trees and bounty from the earth is rotten and this affects both man and animals. He describes that a king or leader may find themselves in prison and have their freedom restricted.

Mercury retrograde – 1 to 24 April 2024

Mercury will retrograde in Aries – be careful not to shoot from the hip. You might regret what you said. In these periods communication is easily misunderstood. We think we said something and yet someone else understood something different. We may send an email in error. We may think we sent an email, and for some technical reason it doesn’t get there. All these little things can go wrong and make communication unnecessarily complicated.

More haste, less speed with everything! Car keys – be present when you put them down. Driving in your car – don’t be distracted. Accidents can happen. Back up phones and computers.

Never a great time to sign any contracts – use this time if any delays. Things may play in your favour in the end. Might not be the best deal as more information comes to light.
