Societies need a rules based system to flourish so that we understand our roles and responsibilities individually and collectively. Beliefs affect our code of conduct, societal actions, values and perceptions. Beliefs systems can be religious and/or political.
Religious beliefs explain the origin of the universe, the existence of gods and set out moral codes of conduct. Political beliefs explain how societies should be managed and governed and are often based on ideas about power and resource distribution.
As we approach the conjunction between Saturn and Neptune at 0 Aries on 20 Feb 2026, these matters will come into sharp focus. Saturn is associated with systems and those in authority. With Saturn in Aries, we are encouraged to take responsibility for our actions. There will be consequences from our actions. These consequences will be felt individually and collectively. Our actions can sometimes cause harm to others. Neptune is connected to idealism and spirituality. Neptune is also associated with lies, deception, corruption, addiction and fanaticism. With Neptune in Aries we are asked to heal ourselves for the collective good. As these planets connect we need to ask ourselves whether what we belief remains true?
Any system whether religious or political, will collapse if it is weighed down by lies and corruption. A new system will need to be reimagined with a more meaningful and realistic ideals. What needs to be dissolved? What sacrifices do we need to make individually and collectively to achieve the ideals we strive for as the collective? How do we step out of victimhood and heal? What spiritual journey do we need to embark on personally and collectively to heal? How do we live more consciously?
