Powerful Full Moon – 29 July 2026

This is an incredibly powerful Full Moon ahead of eclipse season in August.

Sun and Jupiter Cazimi in Leo – Jupiter has a seat next to the King. The Sun is the ego and associated with leadership. Jupiter is associated with truth and justice. What does Jupiter expand – the ego or the truth? What happens to leaders with big egos?

Sun and Jupiter in Leo are opposed Moon and Pluto in Aquarius. As always Full Moons focus on the opposition between Sun and Moon. But with Jupiter and Pluto in opposition this makes this Full Moon extra powerful. Moon in Aquarius is about ordinary people wanting to live in a society that benefits all. Pluto is connected to letting go and purging. It is associated with death, destruction, decay and war. People have had enough. They need to make fundamentally different choices going forward. Pluto also relates to debt and taxation. Ordinary people are drowning in debt. What needs to change? Could this also speak about the great inequality between those in power with excessive resources and ordinary people with less? What kind of societies emerge with these levels of inequality?

This Full Moon links to outer planets Neptune and Uranus too – this is a profound period of change – creative destruction. Fundamental change in beliefs. We can see it playing out on the battle fields in Ukraine and Iran – the extraordinary war time innovation of cheap drones. Ukraine has been able to dismantle the Russian oil and military infrastructure and destroy their navy and maritime fleet at a fraction of the cost. Iran has closed the Hormuz Strait.

We knew a world where might was right but that looks to be changing with ingenuity and youth. These concepts are being tested on the battle field in real time. Saturn speaks about consequences and Neptune sacrifices.

The extreme fires have caused massive devastation across many parts of Europe and US. Ordinary people have lost everything and will need to rebuild their lives. It is certainly a time of death and rebirth. Leo is a fire sign and Aquarius an air sign. Air feeds fire and this can be incredibly destructive.

Sabian symbols

Sun and Jupiter – The constellations in the sky.

As above so below? Creation in all its glory? What can we create on earth?

Moon – A child born of an eggshell.

Death/rebirth – new cycle starting.

Pluto – A council of ancestors.

Use wisdom from past to rebuild – phoenix rising from ashes?

Uranus – A radical magazine displays a sensational front page.

Truth, knowledge and misinformation – we are seeing more of this with advancing technology and AI. Propaganda and how misinformation gets amplified?

Plenty to ponder at this time.

Powerful Full Moon – 29 July 2026

Simply put, this is a very powerful Full Moon in Leo. Jupiter wants growth and truth. Pluto asks us to surrender and let go. It is time to dig deep. What no longer serves you positively? This is a time of fundamental change and growth. This is a process of death and rebirth. Death and decay creates compost that can be used for future growth. How wisely will you use your compost for future growth?

Heat waves

Heat waves. Out of control wild fires. Drought. Glacier melt. Climate changes appear more extreme. The astrology is quite extraordinary. We have all outer planets in fire and air signs. Air feeds fire. Pluto and Uranus in Aquarius and Gemini – both air signs. Saturn, Neptune, Sun and Jupiter in fire signs.

Pluto speaks about destruction. Uranus – unprecedented and unpredictable. Neptune is associated with freak weather events. Saturn is connected to buildings and structures. Jupiter in Leo is magnifying all these issues. The images below show exactly what is unfolding.

Leo year ahead

The focus this year is your children and your daily life. What brings you joy personally? How do you use your creative and or sporty talents in your work and or day to day life? This is a time of abundance and opportunity. Find joy in your day to day life. What about a daily gratitude journal? This would be a good daily practice.

There are certain things that are bothering you – perhaps connected to your children and their lives post school when thinking about studies and or travel. What would you like to do at this stage in your life? Study and or travel too?

This chart could also indicate that there are issues connected to your relationship and your children and the shared financial responsibilities. Resources are an issue in your partnership – how is money spent and what is important to you financially connected to home and family and these responsibilities.

Money seems to be slipping through your fingers – be mindful of what you spend your hard earned resources on – first and foremost take care of your most pressing financial responsibilities. This is a good time to account for your financial situation. Be prudent and responsible. Don’t spend money on your home/family/children that you don’t have. Time to be wise and make certain financial sacrifices to secure your long term financial future.

Debt is a real issue in your business. Tension between demands of daily life and what the business can deliver.

There are opportunities in your work – be open to these opportunities and be sensible financially.

What changes at home? Could be time to move or is this connected with children leaving home? Does this free you up to have more time to explore what brings you joy day to day?

Take action personally

Mars sextile Saturn today encourages us to explore ideas and have conversations and with the help of Saturn take action if we want to build things that will last over time. Don’t wait for others to act. Do so yourself and take personal responsibility.

4 degrees

The Moon joins the 4 degrees signature today. Pause. Feel the change. Look at the beautiful patterns in this configuration at this time.

Russia

Russian chart under huge pressure. On 20 July Jupiter will oppose Pluto and connect with Saturn in Russian chart in 6th house associated with public services and infrastructure. There is an escalation of this crisis and collapse. Neptune sextile Saturn and Uranus trine Saturn – there is all sorts of pressure on infrastructure connected to the State.

Saturn sextile Uranus and Neptune indicates a crisis for the youth. Death and no future. How do they respond? Sacrifice or revolution?

Mars opposition to Mars – there is open conflict between youth and government.

The Saturn Neptune conjunction on 20 February is a 36-year cycle that coincides with collapse of Russian political system. Are we seeing the inevitable collapse? When things unravel, they usually happen quickly. Remember the last time in 1989 when the Berlin Wall collapsed and communism collapsed?

Putin under pressure

Putin under massive pressure from these extraordinary Ukraine attacks that have completely upended war dynamics. Drones have effectively disabled Russian naval vessels and the shadow fleet that allowed oil to flow and Putin to find this war.

Mars and Uranus conjunct his Moon. This is a dangerous time for him. Ordinary people getting more restless as the impact of this war affects the lives of ordinary people in Russia. Where will he get the resources he needs to continue the war effort?

New Moon Cancer

This is a very interesting New Moon at 21 Cancer – 14 July – especially as the outer planets are all at 4 degrees of their respective signs.

Part of Body: Gastric mucosa

Sabian Symbol: A woman awaiting a sailboat.

This New Moon in Cancer is very much connected with the feminine. Moon is naturally associated with women and children and in Cancer food and protection. These are the basic needs of all living beings. The Moon is connected to our emotions and feelings. In Cancer it is about finding your way back home and symbolically this is a journey of the heart. Going inward. Finding a deep sense of belonging within.

Just before this New Moon, Mercury was exactly conjunct the Sun. This positions Mercury cazimi the Sun and gives it a seat next to the King – the Sun. Mercury has been retrograde in Cancer since 29 June and will travel direct again on 23 July in Cancer. This entire period has been about examining our thoughts and feelings around home, safety, family and belonging. What does this mean to each of us? Mercury is in a water sign of feeling and emotions. We have been encouraged to dig deeper and find connection with our thoughts and the heart. Are we truly aligned? Head and heart? The Sun is connected to the ego and the Moon aligns with our heart’s desire. This is a deep calling to find your authentic self, your heart centre.

This New Moon squares Saturn in Aries. It asks some tough questions about our past actions and how they currently align with our new intentions. Saturn wants accountability and the respect of boundaries and understanding personal limitations. It is the planet that helps us say no – that is not my responsibility or yes – I accept that my past actions have harmed others in ways I didn’t anticipate. With Mercury also squared Saturn we need to recognise how our thoughts and words can also cause harm – things we said or did not say. This is why it is so important to find your centre and then it is impossible to blame others for your actions or lack thereof.

Saturn sextiles it’s ruler Mars and Uranus – this can be quite explosive. It supports this notion of taking responsibility for your actions. What lights you up?

Venus in Virgo asks about what truly matters? Relationships with people that matter and our connection to nature and the earth/harvest. Venus connected to Nodes asks us to look at our daily lives. Finding joy in your work and day to day life. How can we be useful to others?

Jupiter is also very important as it will oppose Pluto, trine Neptune and sextile Uranus as all these planets will find themselves at 4 degrees of their signs. This is extraordinarily powerful period in July. A true awakening for humanity.

Jupiter will magnify all these connections. Jupiter is connected to wealth, beliefs and justice. Jupiter is the teacher sharing wisdom. This is an extremely important time. What needs to be purged? What sacrifices are necessary to achieve the ideals we desire? Where have we deceived ourselves? Do you see yourself as a victim or a survivor? Can you take yourself on a healing journey? What new insights emerge?
