Mars Pluto opposition – this is always an explosive signature. Power and force used for good or evil?
Mars and Pluto were conjunct on 28 Jan 2026 shortly after US seized leader of Venezuela and before Israel and US hit Iran.
These planets will be in opposition on 3 Oct 2026. Things remain tense globally.
Trump and Netanyahu both have Mars at 26 Leo and this Mars will shortly receive a transit from both Mars and Jupiter. Mars Return from Nov 2026 to May 2027. Jupiter conjunction to Mars between Dec 2026 and July 2027. This is a very energising situation. Where will they direct their actions? Mars is associated with the war and aggression. Jupiter magnifies what it touches.
Mars in chart of Israel is at 28 Leo. It too will be under pressure from these transits. But especially the Mars Pluto opposition on Moon in 10th – how do ordinary people respond to the war and aggression from the state?

The Nodes return to the same position every 18 years and 6 months. The Saturn Neptune cycle is 36 years. This cycle is twice as long as the Nodal cycle.
Saturn relates to the authority and the physical and institutional structures in society. Neptune is associated with dissolution and sacrifice. Neptune is also connected to oil, gas, insurance, inflation, the oceans and naval fleets. It is also associated with corruption and drugs – recreational and pharmaceutical.
This is a very powerful signature for societal change across the world. The conjunction point is the seed point in the cycle and the opposition the culmination of what started at the seed point.

Saturn Neptune conjunct – Nov 1952 to July 1953 – 21/22 Libra – Stalin ruled from 1924 to when he died in 1953. Putin, Xi Jinping and Ramaphosa all born in this period.
• Saturn Neptune opposition – June 1971 to April 1972 – 0 to 4 Gemini/Sagittarius – energy and oil crisis in 1970’s particularly 1973 Arab/Israel war and 1979 Iran revolution.
Saturn Neptune conjunction – March to Nov 1989 – 10/11 Capricorn – Berlin Wall collapsed and so too communism and Soviet Union. Mass protests led by students and workers were held in Tiananmen Square in Beijing, China between April and June 1989.
• Saturn Neptune opposition – Aug 2006 to June 2007 – 17 to 21 Leo/Aquarius – sub prime housing crisis between 2007 and 2010 culminating in the Sep 2008 financial crisis with the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers Investment Bank.

US military captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on 3 Jan 2026.
US/Israel war with Iran started on 28 Feb 2026 and is still ongoing with things escalating to a crisis with the close of the Strait of Hormuz and now Houthis gaining control of the Strait of Bab al-Mandab. This has resulted in major disruptions in oil trade with the resultant shortages and higher petrol prices. Higher fuel prices make everything more expensive and put pressure on inflation.
The conflict in the Middle East continues and so too the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The Special Military Operation started on 24 Feb 2022. This war actually started before then in 2014 when Russia annexed Crimea.
Global alliances are under pressure and new alliances are forming. The world is moving away from a unipolar world to a multipolar world.

Each time the Nodes return to Aquarius/Leo there is a Saturn/Neptune conjunction or opposition. The South Node is seen as more challenging and in Leo it speaks about challenges for leaders and kings. The North Node in Aquarius asks ordinary people to build and create the societies where ordinary citizens thrive. We need to actively take an interest in the physical and intuitional structures necessary for democracy to survive and flourish. It also requires that we take ownership personally and collectively. Don’t wait for a saviour. Be the change yourself.
And as I have indicated before these leaders are all born between 1952 and 1953. They are born with a Saturn/Neptune signature. Dreaming of the idealistic societal structure and system. Eventually it dissolves usually under the weight of lies and corruption and needs to be reimagined. The leadership in South Africa, Russia and China all speak to this theme.

We are certainly navigating a difficult period globally and with the Saturn Neptune conjunction happening on 20 Feb 2026 at 0 Aries – the World Axis – it certainly implies that we will all be impacted in some way. This includes issues of extreme weather – drought and or flooding. Climate change is a real issue too and when food security is compromised people migrate.
The global alliances are under pressure and with US having undergone it’s Pluto Return in 2022 its status as the Superpower post WW2 is being reimagined. A new world order is emerging as certain relationship’s dissolve and new alliances are formed.
The focus at this time is your place in your community, your connection to your neighbours, siblings and your school community. You have questions – is your knowledge still valuable in a changing world? Do you still believe in the world where knowledge and wisdom are valued and in time you can become an expert in your chosen field? What are the sacrifices necessary to continue learning? Is it worth it? Do you still believe in traditional higher education systems? Is there a way that you can take ownership of your own learning journey? You are deeply questioning your beliefs. This is all connected to your local community and your place in it versus other communities across the world. It certainly seems like there is tension everywhere. If you moved abroad would all your issues dissolve or would they can transmute and transform into other struggles. There is no doubt moving far from home/family comes with sacrifices. The grass is not always greener far away.
Do you have the knowledge you need to support yourself financially? Do you feel torn between opportunities here or abroad? If you are in a relationship do you feel supported emotionally and financially? What does your home and family situation look like? Do you have plans as a family? Do you share a value system connected to home/family? How is this connected to material stuff versus relationships? There could be some conflict in this regard – what is essential versus what is a nice to have expense? There are some financial concerns personally and jointly. How is this connected to your appetite for debt and financial gain. What is enough?
Do you want a child? What are the implications for your family? There is a short window of opportunity and you will need to take a step towards what you desire in your life.
The New Moon on 11 September at 18 Virgo signals the start of a new seed point. Mercury the ruler of Virgo finds itself in Libra walking a tightrope opposite Neptune and trine Pluto. It’s time to interrogate information. What’s misleading? What information needs to be investigated further? Can you put yourself in someone else’s shoes and understand their position? Do others understand your point of view?
Venus the ruler of Libra is in detriment in Scorpio making us question the value of particular relationships. Venus is square Pluto. These are tense times. Relationships will need to evolve significantly if they are to survive and thrive. Financial pressure could be impacting your relationship especially around 15 September, 20 October and 9 December 2026.
Uranus stations retrograde. All outer planets will be retrograde – Uranus, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto. It’s time to make some significant changes.

The Total Solar Eclipse on 12 August has a very prominent Pluto on MC opposed Jupiter. This could certainly describe a massive calamity. And this Pluto has tight aspects to Neptune and Uranus which added to the atmosphere. Uranus speaks about unprecedented and Neptune freaky and deceptively unusual.
The Appulse Lunar Eclipse on 28 Aug has Pluto on IC – a land based catastrophe. And once again, Pluto is tightly aspected to Uranus and Neptune.
In both charts Pluto is angular which is very powerful. Pluto is always associated with destruction, death and decay.
