Saturn rules governments and those in authority. Neptune rules dreams and ideals of those in society. This conjunction indicates that  dreams and ideals have not materialised as imagined. A structure needs to dissolve for something new to emerge.

Berlin Wall stood from 1961 to 1989 separating East and West Germany. Series of revolutions in Hungary and Poland in 1989 caused chain reaction in East Germany. World order changed.

Pisces pile up of planets including new moon on 28 February. New moon always a good time to set intentions. Saturn reminds us to think about long term plans, Mercury reminds us to gather all information and to challenge existing beliefs and Neptune asks us to dream. Are these dreams and ideals realistic or not? What sacrifices are necessary? Nodes encourage us to consider the collective versus what is practical.

All these planets in 3rd house focus on community and schools. What about our connection to siblings and neighbours? Need to think about transport options. What is role of media?

Chart also highlights issues in relationship and at home. Need to assess what is important when we think about our values. This includes focus on children and the importance of finding joy in our lives.

Another thing to add about this chart is that Mars and Moon are out of bounds. This adds intensity to this issues at play. Moon our emotions and responses and Mars our actions in this case about defending and protecting.

Mars is connected to heat and fires.

This is a very volatile situation.

It’s a tricky time. Mars is stationary and moves direct again on 24 Feb 2025 – 17 degrees Cancer. Mars has mixed dignity in Cancer. It is fallen but has triplicity rulership which is good. This is a Mars that wants to protect and yet it can be retaliatory. How do you protect those you care about without hurting others? How to we end these cycles of conflict and violence with more aggression and violence? Is it possible to find other ways to resolve conflicts? 

This Mars opposes Moon in Capricorn. The Moon also has mixed dignity – detriment in Capricorn and yet also has triplicity rulership which is good. The Moon represents ordinary people especially women and children. It also represents our feelings and emotional responses. When we are hurt how do we respond? Is it possible at this time to find ways to resolve conflict and emotional hurt? Or does the cycle of hurt and anger keep expressing itself. How do we heal? Do we feel safe to trust the other? 

There is real tension here. Mars and Moon square Venus in Aries. This is another planet with mixed dignity in Aries – detriment and term. Venus speaks about our value system connected to love and resources. Venus is also about to travel retrograde. We seem to need to go over so many things currently. 

Mercury finds itself in Pisces – again with mixed dignity – fall and detriment and also term. Jupiter in Gemini is also in detriment and has dignity in term. Jupiter is making a square aspect to Mercury. These planets are in each other’s signs indicating a mutual reception. This is an opportunity to interrogate our beliefs with additional information. There are many misunderstandings and we seem to be speaking past one another. How do we find each other when our beliefs and information are at odds? 

We are going to need to navigate these difficult topics to resolve conflicts. Mercury will soon connect with Saturn on 25 Feb indicating a need to take responsibility for what is said and published. We can’t speak fast and loose and hope to resolve conflicts. 

Mercury travels retrograde on 15 March for a few weeks until 7 April 2025. More information will come to light and plans will need to change. This is certainly a challenging time as the personal planets have been struggling with mixed dignity and retrograde motion. We might just not be able to get things going until all issues are ironed out. SA government needs to present a revised budget on 12 March 2025 after the unprecedented postponement last week. With Saturn and Mercury connecting in 2^nd house – it’s the economy stupid. Time to look at long term policy direction and what is affordable.

The focus is your career, personal and professional goals. There are many things that are bothering you. Is your career achieving your long term goals and are you valued and supported in your business/professional role.

There is tension within your community and or with your relationship with siblings. Perhaps there are issues in your school community – how will you act to resolve these issues.

You are also concerned about your children and these matters are connected to financial concerns.

Trump will soon become President of the US again. What we must understand is this powerful Uranus transit to his MC and Mars/Asc. All these points are angular and this makes them important. Uranus is conjunct his MC – career and status and square his Mars from June 2024 to May 2025. It will then square his Asc from Jul 2025 to April 2026.

Uranus is disruptive. It is unpredictable. We should not expect more of the same from Trump.
