Full Moon – 30 June 2026

This Full Moon at 8 Capricorn/Cancer highlights the tension we are feeling ahead of the 30 June deadline set by some organisations like March and March who are fed up with the issues related to illegal migration in SA. Emotions are running high and we need to focus on the facts.

It is very interesting to see this Full Moon in 9th/3rd houses of foreigners versus local communities. There is certainly tension and ordinary people feel let down by the system – governments failure to manage the borders legally over an extended period of time and deal with rampant corruption. Some of these organisations have put the blame on foreigners taking the jobs of locals and not at the failure of government over an extended period.

This T square involving Sun/Moon and Saturn/Neptune in 12th house highlights the issue – failure of government to manage the situation and failure to act and correct the short comings. Saturn and Neptune in 12th house highlights the corruption in the system – illicit trade and corruption of law enforcement system.

Moon is conjunct Facies – this is a destructive star and Moon is in detriment in Capricorn too. This adds to the unhappiness of ordinary people. Ruthless or victim? The Moon has triplicity rulership in Capricorn and the President has instructed people not to take the law into their own hands. Only law enforcement has the right to deal with this situation. Once again the Moon is out of bounds and this creates a greater tendency to extremes. Ordinary people in SA have lost trust in government and the legal system.

Mercury is stationary and moving retrograde in Cancer – the messaging is all about safety of local communities. This is fertile ground for opposition parties who have the most to gain especially as Jupiter moves into Leo in July and will oppose Pluto on 20 July.

Mars has moved into Gemini and will soon connect with Uranus in 2nd – the economic situation is volatile.

Pluto on MC highlights the crisis in government. It is imperative that the rotten apples within this government are purged.

In the next few weeks Pluto/Neptune and Uranus will all find themselves on 4 degrees and this will create the perfect circumstances for fundamental changes globally. Collapse and renewal – a process of creative destruction. What changes globally that will force change in SA?

Chiron on the Asc – the country and its people are dealing with a festering wound. It’s time to heal individually and collectively as a country.

Mars into Gemini

Mars enters Gemini on 28 June and will conjunct Uranus exactly on 4 July 2026. This is a volatile signature associated with volcanic activity and social unrest. Interesting to see this Mars Uranus conjunction on the MC of New Zealand and look at the ring of volcanic activity on that day including New Zealand.

Sir Keir Starmer resigns

Pluto conjunct Saturn and South Node forces Sir Keir Starmer to resign. He appears to have ‘lost the dressing room’ as they would say in a sporting environment.

Birth time unknown.

Peace in Middle East?

Will peace hold in the Middle East? And what about the war in Ukraine?

Things are still very uncertain. This is an out of bounds Moon – more volatile than usual in an air sign of Gemini. Which way – this or that? There is a lot of planetary pressure building into July. At end of June Mars moves into Gemini and will connect with Uranus on 4 July. This is a particularly volatile signature and certainly doesn’t speak about peace. Mars will be approaching the USA Uranus at 8 Gemini in 7th house of known enemies. Uranus remains square Nodes. Mercury is about to travel retrograde from 29 June to 23 July. Neptune will retrograde on 7 July. Is the dream attainable? What happens to oil trade and war on drugs? Jupiter will oppose Pluto on 20 July – a massive show of force? For good or evil? What about exploding debts? Saturn will retrograde on 26 July. What are the long term consequences of our actions or lack thereof?

Neptune will sextile Uranus on 15 July and will also sextile Pluto on 25 July. This is an incredibly powerful time for humanity. Can we find our way to a path of peace? What does the new world order look like? What about the impact of climate change? There are so many issues at stake. This dance with Neptune, Uranus and Pluto will unfold over the years until early 2030’s. The changes are likely to be significant. We will all be impacted no matter where we live. This is a fundamental shift.

Chiron in Taurus

Chiron is about to move into Taurus on 19 June 2026. It will stay in Taurus until 18 Sep 2026 and then move back into Aries for a few months before moving fully into Taurus on 14 April 2027 until it eventually leaves in 2034.

Chiron was discovered in 1977. It travels between Saturn and Uranus and was first thought to be an asteroid and then appeared more comet like with a tail. It is seen as half man/half horse. It’s full cycle is just more than 50 years. The myth describes how Chiron was wounded by a poisoned arrow and because of his immortal state he did not die but couldn’t heal himself despite his extraordinary healing abilities.

Chiron now moves into Taurus – a fixed earth sign. This is the slow and steady part of the zodiac. It is associated with self-worth and resources and what sustains us – nature and agriculture/food production. Venus rules Taurus and speaks about what we love and value. It is very much associated with our value system – what is important to us?

Chiron shows us what needs to be healed as a collective at this time. We are being asked to heal our relationship with money and the material world. It shows insecurities associated with resources and self-worth. It certainly seems to ask us to heal our relationship with nature and this planet that supports us. It perhaps also asks us to slow down and appreciate the natural world around us – all living beings – plants and animals and the complexity of the natural world. We seem to have lost our connection to the natural world and yet we know nature heals.

Scientists have confirmed a powerful El-Nino has begun which will likely contribute to extreme weather events of flooding and droughts across the world. This could certainly disrupt food production not to mention the issues in the Middle East connected to the trade of oil and fertiliser.

Chiron was last in Taurus between 1976 and 1984. This was certainly a volatile period in South Africa’s history and one that happened 50 years ago and started a process to dismantle Apartheid. Sanctions internationally and boycotts locally in the 1980’s made South Africa isolated and just about bankrupt. This process forced South Africa to change direction especially as communism collapsed in 1989. South Africa seems broken currently – lack of service delivery and government accountability have left many ordinary people without work and food.

How will you use this time to heal?

Uranus, Neptune and Pluto

Uranus and Pluto were conjunct in 1965 and 1966. This started a big new astrological cycle with big social shifts. In the US, it was connected to the Vietnam War, Civil Rights Movements, Hippie culture and NASA lunar orbit missions. The contraceptive pill was developed in the 1960’s giving women more control over their bodies and life choices.

Uranus is the agitator, the planet associated with freedom and independence, innovation and technology. It is connected to electricity. It’s nature is unpredictable and unstable.

Pluto is associated with the underworld. What is dark and secret? Pluto travels unseen and forces us to discard what is no longer beneficial and supportive in our lives. It starts a process of purging and decay. This is often messy and yet it is what is discarded that comes to nourish us once it’s been through a process of shedding and discarding to create the compost for future growth. It is this death and rebirth cycle which is so important in the process of life on earth.

These two planets speak about a process of creative destruction. What needs to be discarded and what emerges? It sets about big social adjustments that are unstoppable. Once they have momentum things change regardless.

Between 1995 and 1997 Uranus was sextile Pluto. This was an interesting time for South Africa as we embarked on our democratic journey post 1994. We had much hope and anticipation of better things to come for our collective. But it was also associated with the Bosnian War and Yugoslavian  wars and the world trying to make sense of the Rwandan Genocide in 1994 – wars associated with ethnic cleansing.

Between 2012 to 2015 Uranus was square Pluto. This was a very difficult time economically and became known as the Great Recession across the globe. Conflict seems ongoing in the Middle East and in Central and North Africa.

Now Uranus will trine Pluto between July 2026 and May 2028. These planets are exact in

  • Jul/Nov 2026
  • June 2027
  • Jan/May 2028

We are witnessing a time of profound change and this process of creative destruction has a momentum of its own. Uranus is now in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius. The innovation and disruption will be felt in areas of life associated with knowledge, information, trade, ideas and transport. Driverless cars are no longer far fetched. The nature of war has shifted enormously. Drones and missiles dominate the skies. This has made it difficult for traditionally strong nations and armies to propel smaller, more nuggety opposition. The wars in Ukraine/Russia and Iran/Middle East have both demonstrated how significantly the dynamics of war have changed.

Pluto in Aquarius is a reminder to leaders who are disconnected from the needs of ordinary people to watch out. When Pluto was last in Aquarius it was the time of the French Revolution and the American War of Independence. But as always there is a dark side and we need to be mindful of how big tech and big data can control the lives of ordinary people. It is very much a time of power to the people, but ordinary people need to step up and start creating the societies they wish to be part of in the future.

We had a Saturn Neptune conjunction on 20 Feb 2026 at 0 Aries – the World Axis. This was the start of a new 36 year cycle which also had a profound impact on the world. This cycle is always connected to major changes in Russia. When it last happened in 1989 we watched the fall of communism and the collapse of the Berlin Wall. It was also connected with the 1953 Iranian coup which was instigated by the UK and US and allowed Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the Shah of Iran to rule more firmly as a monarch. Saturn and Neptune were conjunct in 1952 and 1953 and connected to the dissolution of certain structures and land boundaries.

What is going to unfold over the next few years will be Neptune making aspects to both Uranus and Pluto. These are the 3 outer planets all in a tight configuration exerting more pressure for change.

Uranus sextile Neptune exact on these dates

  • Aug/Nov 2025
  • July 2026
  • Jan/June 2027

Looking at these exact dates we need to see what unfolds this year between June/July and Sep 2026. Change is inevitable. The speed of change is also likely to be significant as air and fire elements dominate. Buckle up – we are in for exciting, turbulent times. We also need to consider climate matters. There is a strong likelihood that we are about to experience a Super El Nino with the warming of the central and eastern Pacific Ocean. This could lead to droughts and flooding across the globe. Not only could war disrupt trade as oil and fertiliser trade is blocked, which will have an impact of agriculture and food production, but so too could climate issues.

Full Moon – 31 May 2026

This Full Moon in Sagittarius/Gemini shines a light on the joys of life and children versus our understanding of success in the world. Uranus conjunct Sun indicates that things are unstable and changing, even chaotic. We are needing to reinvent ourselves in the ever changing world around us. This Full Moon squares the Nodes in 2nd and 8th houses. Financial matters are in focus. South Node in 2nd indicates personal resources – slave to money? How does this connect with your sense of self worth? North Node in 8th speaks about needing to rely on others. But with Pluto in 7th there is pressure on partnerships and with ruler of 7th Saturn fallen in Aries in 9th this indicates pressure from legal or contractual disputes. All this points to the necessity of fundamental changes. What decisions need to be taken legally? Is there a fundamental difference in belief systems? Does your relationship support you? You are certainly frustrated with your setup at home and in your life. Can you support yourself personally? What will make you feel safe and happy? Is it a place or finding comfort and support within? Time to journey spiritually within. Disappointment with the direction of traditional religion and other charlatans in this space. Perhaps disappointment with religious wars. Where does this end? Do you and your family agree? Are you stubbornly sticking to what you believe?

Venus and Jupiter

Beautiful benefics in the sky tonight with the Moon – all in Cancer. Venus speaks about what we value – home and family. Jupiter is the teacher and wants the truth. Jupiter questions our beliefs and religious orientation. All these planets in Cancer focus on feminine – the mothers, grandmothers and children. Society needs to value the women and children in the world. They are precious and deserve protection.

Mars Ingress in Taurus

Today Mars moves into Taurus. The energy changes. In Aries Mars is aggressive and determined. In Taurus, Mars is forced to slow down. Taurus is a fixed, earth sign. This Mars needs to be more deliberate. It is perhaps more stubborn and unwilling to change direction. It may bring extra qualities of grit and determination to stick to a difficult task. This Mars might feel stuck and cornered and more inclined to anger and frustration. Mars is moving to an exact square with Pluto on 26 May 2026. This is described as a turning point. Push through or surrender?
