IOC announced protection of Female Category

Eligibility for any female category event at the Olympic Games or any other IOC event, including individual and team sports, is now limited to biological females, determined on the basis of a one‑time SRY gene screening.

Evidence‑based and expert‑informed, the policy – applicable for the LA28 Olympic Games onwards – protects fairness, safety and integrity in the female category.

It is not retroactive and does not apply to any grassroots or recreational sports programs.

This announcement was made on 26 March 2026 with Moon and Jupiter in Cancer square Sun and Saturn in Aries with trine to Mars in Pisces.

A decision has finally been made to protect the female sporting category. This is not an easy decision and is going to go against what some believe to be true. But it is impossible to be inclusive while simultaneously creating specific categories which by their very nature exclude others. This matter highlights the difference between biological facts (XX and XY) and beliefs around gender.

Saturn deals with systems and rules. Sport is a rules-based system. It needs to protect the athlete while simultaneously protecting the category. Mars is associated with sport and in Pisces is perhaps still trying to be inclusive. But Saturn says no – we need to make a decision and there needs to be accountability.

Transgender athletes have been sold a lie (Saturn/Neptune) that they can compete in female category. But the science (Saturn) has ruled about male advantage for both transgender and DSD athletes who are biological males.

The female sporting category needs to be protected. Many generations of women in the past have fought for the rights that women currently enjoy. Rights and responsibilities need to be protected. It also demonstrates the clash between individual versus collective rights. It is not always easy to manage the competing narratives.

With Moon and Jupiter in Cancer (feminine sign), this concept of the feminine and safety is a key priority. Venus in Aries indicates the difficulties of protecting the female category – a necessary step.
