US will celebrate the 250th year since Independence on 4 July 2026.

The US had a Pluto return in 2022. They are due to have a Uranus return between Jul 2027 and May 2028. This is a time of profound change in the US. Pluto in 2nd house is about the economy, debt and taxation. US debt is now 100% of GDP. These levels are unsustainable and rely on the dominance of the petrodollar. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has placed immense pressures on trade and energy supplies across the world with soaring oil prices.

On 4 July Mars will conjunct Uranus. This is an extremely volatile and unpredictable period. It can indicate a great shock. On the 7th cusp of US chart, the focus is enemies. This Mars Uranus line runs through Saudi Arabia and Iran. A crisis is brewing in this conflict in the Middle East and Russia.

I looked at the progressed Moon in chart for South Africa.

Progressed Moon in 12th house between Jan 2025 to Feb 2027. What emerges from the shadows that ordinary people become more aware of?

Conjunct Neptune – Dec 2025 – illicit activities, drugs and criminal justice system and prisons. Uncovering of corruption in the system.

Conjunct Uranus – March 2026 – bomb shells blow things up – crisis that was hidden bursts into the open. Problems in criminal justice system much bigger than anticipated.

Square Mercury – Aug 2026 – big focus on opposition and youth. Time for change.

Square MC – Nov 2026 – focus shifts to leadership and direction of government – what needs to change?

Square Sun – Dec 2026 – leadership and opposition. Time for change.

Square Jupiter – March 2027 – time to focus on government, parliament, treasure and economy – new opportunities.

When progressed Moon connects with Asc in Feb 2027 – this shows ordinary people need to step up and defend our young democracy.

This is chart for Russia post collapse of Soviet Union and resignation of Gorbachev when the Russian flag was raised. Pluto is going to station on 5 May 2026 at 5 degrees Aquarius directly on Saturn in 6th house. This part of chart is associated with public service – health and law enforcement. This looks like a particularly difficult time – a turning point. Demolition of authority and institutions of public services? Mistrust of power? Compulsion to control public services? This is transformation the hard way. Massive push back or collapse?

Mars forms an exact square with Jupiter on 5 May. This is a warrior Mars. Full of assertive and aggressive energy. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer – righteous beliefs connected to home and safety. Jupiter magnifies what it touches. This is a time when situations could escalate quickly. What of the wars in the world?

UAE leaving OPEC – Saturn and Neptune opposite Mercury and Venus in 10th – an organisation fundamentally changing.

Uranus indicates the crisis and opportunity for change with the conflict around the Strait of Hormuz.

Uranus square Asc – July 2025 to April 2026 – unexpected crisis. Key months July and Nov 2025 and April 2026. This aspect was exact on 24th and 25th April as Uranus left Taurus and moved into Gemini on 26 April 2026.

Throughout this time Uranus was conjunct MC square Mars/Asc between June 2024 and April 2026.

Now that Uranus has moved into Gemini this intense pressure on Trump chart dissipates.

Interesting to see a very strong Mars in Aries on MC and ruler of 5th house – sport – when 2 marathon runners broke the world record and ran under 2 hours for the first time ever. A Herculean effort of drive, energy, strength and determination.

As Uranus enters Gemini we should focus on the map – Strait of Hormuz. What will emerge from the current crisis?

Uranus moves into Gemini for the next 7 years until 2032. The aspects between Pluto, Neptune and Saturn are now moving ahead with much focus on air and fire. Air feeds fire. We should expect things to gather momentum and speed. The unfolding changes have a momentum of their own. Previously when Uranus was in Gemini the US was at war. American Revolution – 1775. The American Civil War -1861 and WW2 in the 1940’s.

War is changing. Uranus speaks about disruption and innovation. Drones and missiles are now the weapons of choice. These are cheap. Can be manufactured quickly. They can penetrate deep into enemy territory. They can disrupt powerful military forces. Gemini is associated with connecting people and ideas. Education. AI. Travel – short journeys. Driverless cars? What else might we see?

Venus joins Uranus at 29 degrees Taurus on 23 April. Venus is associated with love and resources. Luxury goods. It speaks about what we value – relationships and or money. What changes? Might be unexpected?
